About the Tour

If you have been looking for a comprehensive and enriching journey to Saurashtra, the heart of Gujarat, then this trip is for you. Our 7N/8D trip takes you to Rajkot, Dwarka, Porbandar, Somnath, Sasan Gir, Bhavnagar, and Ahmedabad! Be ready for a divine adventure.

Discover the magic of Saurashtra, where vibrant traditions meet breathtaking coastal landscapes. From ancient temples like Somnath and Dwarkadhish, where myths come alive, to the serene beaches along the Arabian Sea, this region offers an unforgettable blend of history, spirituality, and natural beauty. Wander through bustling markets filled with colorful handicrafts, savor the authentic flavors of Gujarati cuisine, and explore charming towns that have preserved their heritage for centuries. Whether you’re seeking spiritual solace, a cultural deep dive, or simply a peaceful retreat, Saurashtra has something special waiting just for you. Come, let’s experience the soul of Gujarat in Saurashtra!

We begin our journey in the ancient city of Dwarka, one of the four sacred Char Dham pilgrimage sites in Hinduism. Here, the Dwarkadhish Temple stands majestically, dedicated to Lord Krishna. With its towering spires and serene atmosphere, the temple invites you to experience the divine energy and explore its intricate carvings. To seek a deeper connection with mythology, we go to Beyt Dwarka, an island believed to be the residence of Lord Krishna. We also visit Nageshwar Jyotirlingam which is believed to protect devotees from all kinds of dangers and negative energies. The temple also features a massive Shiva statue! Dwarka indeed is a journey into the heart of ancient lore.

Did you know that Dwarka is one of the seven most ancient cities (Sapta Puri) in India? It is believed to have been established over 5,000 years ago

After Dwarka, we continue along the coast to Porbandar, a city with deep historical significance as the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. Explore Kirti Mandir, the house where Gandhi was born, and delve into the life and legacy of the Father of the Nation.

From Porbandar, we make our way to the iconic Somnath Temple, another jewel in Saurashtra’s crown. Perched by the Arabian Sea, this temple is not only a spiritual hub but also a symbol of resilience, having been rebuilt multiple times over centuries. The rhythmic sounds of the waves, coupled with the temple’s chants, create an atmosphere that soothes the soul. Somnath Temple is also one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.

The light and sound show at Somnath Temple brings its dramatic history to life through powerful narration, music, and stunning visual projections against the temple backdrop.
Held in the evening, it beautifully recounts centuries of devotion, destruction, and rebuilding, creating a deeply moving spiritual experience.

Nature lovers will find paradise in Gir National Park, the only place in the world where you can see Asiatic lions in their natural habitat. A safari through Gir is an adventure filled with the sights and sounds of the wild, including leopards, deer, and a wide variety of bird species. It’s an experience that brings you face to face with the untamed beauty of Saurashtra in Gujarat.

A short drive away, Bhavnagar awaits with its blend of culture and heritage. We visit Nishkalank Mahadev Temple, a hidden gem submerged beneath the sea and accessible only at low tide, offering a mystical experience. Feel the serene atmosphere as you walk across the ocean bed to this unique temple. Then, we head to the Takhteshwar Temple, perched atop a hill, for panoramic city views and spiritual solace, making Bhavnagar a perfect blend of adventure and devotion.

As we progress towards the north of Gujarat, we step back in time at Lothal, one of the most important sites of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization. Lothal’s well-preserved ruins, including its ancient dockyard and pottery, provide a glimpse into a civilization that thrived over 4,000 years ago.

We end our trip in Ahmedabad, the cultural heart of Gujarat. We visit the Sabarmati Ashram, where Mahatma Gandhi lived and led the freedom movement. How can we return the Adalaj Stepwell, a stunning example of Indo-Islamic architecture that provides a cool, serene retreat. Ahmedabad’s vibrant markets, delicious street food, and rich heritage make it a perfect conclusion to our Saurashtra adventure.
